Winners revealed for awards recognizing excellence in music and sound within the media

LONDON – July 19, 2019 – This week the winners of the 8th annual global Music+Sound Awards were announced. The best of the world’s media music, sound and sync talent were celebrated and honoured for their exceptional work over the last year.

Announced one category at a time via The Awards’ Twitter feed, 2019’s International Music+Sound Awards’ winners got their enormously deserved moment in the spotlight and the industry as a whole was championed for the tremendous value it holds within the media.  Music and sound play such a vital role in productions and the awards serve to highlight this and demonstrate the great talent and skill involved.

Winners were chosen by a panel of worldwide industry professionals including composers Hugo de Chaire and Guy Farley; Andy Carroll, Creative Director and Partner at The Elements Music;  Luis Almau, Head of Music Production at Soundtree Music; Rebecca Williams, Head of Film at Saatchi & Saatchi; and Music Supervisor, Pete Saville.

The full panel can be seen here: www.masawards.com/2019jury

Once again, support from our entrants, the jury, our esteemed sponsors and partners, who continue to value our Awards as a mark of excellence, has been overwhelming.  A heart-felt thank you to all of you and huge congratulations to our winners.” said Emma Maguire, Awards’ Director,

“Turning the spotlight on our entrants’ expertise and the vital role of their crafts has been our driving force.  This year looks to have raised the benchmark for excellence even higher and we thank our winners for the inspiration they have bought about.”

The Awards continue to support the work of music therapists, Nordoff Robbins, by donating £5 from every entry to this far-reaching charity.

The Music+Sound Awards are run in partnership with Krotos Audio and SixtyFour Music.

The Music+Sound Awards are the world’s first and only global awards programme to recognise and celebrate the indispensable role and outstanding contribution that music and sound design play in the world of visual media.

Aimed at professionals working in advertising, film and television (branding and programming), the awards are open to anyone who is or has been involved in the creation, composition, sourcing, licensing, briefing and / or production of music and sound design for any media broadcast or released globally.

The awards categories have been created to include the widest possible use of music and sound in the media. They invite entries from television and online advertising, feature films, short films, television programmes, title sequences, branding and trailers.  Each of these areas will be judged for: best original composition, best sound design, best sync, best re-record and best use of production music.
