The great news about the rocking group Rascal Flatts is that they have been selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On June 17th Thursday the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame committee has announced that the star will be unveiled sometime in upcoming year of 2011, although a exact date and location have not been confirmed. Others scheduled to be inducted into the Walk of Fame next year include Melissa Etheridge, Los Tigres Del Norte, the Go-Go’s, Slash, Will i am and BeBe and CeCe Winans. The late Buddy Holly and Louis Prima will be inducted posthumously. Last week The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has also announced that the country group would be honored with the star in 2011 among with a host of other celebrities. This month is a big anniversary for Rascal Flatts 10 years since the band released its very first, self-titled album. Rascal Flatts Gary LeVox, Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney are getting ready to hit the road afterward this month for their Nothing like This tour. And according to Jay, the name of the tour fits their show flawlessly.

A decade is a long time to be making hits and the group is recognizing the history it’s created with its new Nothing Like This Tour, which launches Friday in Raleigh, N.C. The trio Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney really hasn’t done anything like this before. The guys plan to take admirers during a chronological timeline of their time together, from their formation on Nashville’s club scene to their recent status as one of the top attractions on the national concert scene. They plan to make the songs the biggest emphasis of every performance. Rascal Flatts have revealed that they will be appearing in the HBO miniseries To Appomattox this fall. The show, which will be based on the Civil War-ending final battle at Appomattox, Virginia, will cover the surrender of General Robert E. Lee to General Ulysses S. Grant. On July 30th Rascal Flatts with special guests Kelly Pickler and Chris Young at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater.
   
The good news for fans of the Rascal Flatts is that the band is hitting the road again this summer for what’s being billed as the “J.C. Penney Presents Rascal Flatts Nothing Like This Tour.” The good news for fans is that the band will be in the area Aug. 12, to perform in the Giant Center, 550 W. Hersheypark Drive. Country stars Kellie Pickler and Chris Young will be the opening acts. The rocking group Rascal Flatts consisting of Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney is one of the most famous country groups in the U.S. is celebrating their 10th anniversary. In that time the group has had 11 No. 1 singles on the country music charts and sold more than 20 million albums. Later on this month the band will embark on their Nothing like This tour, which runs from June 25 to September 19. They are plans to kick off the tour with their 2000 hit, “Prayin’ for Daylight,” and then play a mix of old and new songs including their latest top 10 single, “Unstoppable.” Fans of Rascal Flatts should not miss the chance to listen them live by getting cheap Rascal Flatts tickets online.
