Many a musician has had that lovely daydream about recording for free with an award winning producer in a legendary studio, and making it big so they could travel the world. Recording Festival has captured all these dreams and combined them into one reality, offering artists the chance to win a free two week recording session with a stellar team of music producers (with awards, even Grammys, on their resumes), and doing all this recording in the heart of Ireland in an all expenses paid trip. Recording Festival is a music opportunity that will give 3 talented bands / artists the chance to spend two weeks recording at the beautiful residential studios of The Grouse Lodge Studios, Ireland, where the likes of Michael Jackson, Snow Patrol, Bonnie Raitt, Muse, Manic Street Preachers and many others have laid down great records.
Winning artists will be working with a team of four excellent producers & engineers: Grammy winning Cameron Craig (Bjork, Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Paolo Nutini, The Hours, U.N.K.L.E, Joe Strummer etc), Internationally sought out producer Filippo Gaetani (My Excellence, Ken Andrews, Peter Doran, Malina, etc), Canadian based Jordan Zadorozny (Courtney Love, Sam Roberts, Chris Cornell, Melissa Auf der Mar, etc) and Fintan Moore (The Grouse Studios resident engineer).
In addition, an HD film crew will be at the studio to capture the winners’ recording sessions. Free flights and accomodations in the lovely Grouse Lodge are included. The producers will also mix final tracks in their own studios at a later date.
There are two rounds to the Recording Festival judging, and all entries will be listened to by expert judges (music industry veterans and experts from around the world) who will decide the three winning acts.
