Gabe Hizer is a Nashville, TN-based singer-songwriter, originally from Long Island, NY. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, played in various rock and pop cover bands in the 70s, and more recently led a blues band for a couple of years. He is now performing as a solo artist, featuring his complex guitar arrangements, well-crafted songs, and wide vocal range.

A “life-on-the-edge” portrait-painter in the Tom Waits/Rickie Lee Jones mold, Dudley gives his story-songs an extra, post-modern twist: a lilting folk-jazz love song turns out to be laced with S&M sex (LOVE SONG FOR JEFFREY DAHMER), or a vivid portrait of New York street whores stops midway through for a decidedly unromantic re-write (THE RAIN ON 8th AVENUE). Nothing quite comes out straight in Dudley’s music.

Coming from a farming community in Far North Queensland, 8 Ball Aitken is the oldest son of an impoverished family of twelve children. 8 Ball spent his adolescence on a banana plantation, living in a rough tobacco shed with resident rats, bats, snakes, and spiders as his sleeping companions. He started work as a farm labourer aged fifteen, doing back-breakingly hard work on the mango and banana plantations of the Atherton Tablelands, a man’s work for a boy’s pay. He had to help support his family with these wages.

Marfa, Texas, is a pretty weird place. The modest-sized city—its population of 2,400 equals roughly half its altitude—was named for a character in a Russian novel, served as the set of James Dean’s last movie, and has since the late 1800s been known for the mysterious Marfa ghost lights, the unexplained glowing spheres that appear randomly in the night air east of the town. But Marfa is also home to another astonishing and out-of-the-ordinary phenomenon. One that’s simmering. Rumbling. Steadily building in intensity—and about to explode onto on unsuspecting music world like a blinding, white-hot, bird-flipping supernova. Its name? Satanic Punk International Conspiracy—or S.P.I.C. for short.

Nadia is a Canadian born singer/songwriter with a penchant for metaphoric lyrics and eclectic musical influences. Her influences of rock, soul and folk are evident on her debut album Arrival from the Beatles-esque Julian to the soulful pop of Arrival and the bluesy depth of the Blues Always Bleed Red. Her live show is a ruckus energetic version of the album.
