This beautiful produced instrumental is kind of nostalgic stormy, prohibited love affair two hearts fighting against all odds to be together, dramatic, courageous Telenovela like theme, TV, Drama Film.
Sounding something like if ASIWYFA and Lite had a child and fostered it in a bar!
Fires, floods, volcanoes, vision quests in the wilderness. Ya know, the typical musician stuff. Throw in science, technology and a stunning array of musical skills, and you’ve got a standard issue day for ambient electronic folk rocker Max Carmichael, whose first commercial release was praised by the Village Voice, resulting in a headline gig at New York’s Knitting Factory. With a style placing him in such varied and storied company as Paul Simon, Calexico, Moby, and U2, it’s no surprise that Carmichael’s work is continually surprising, yet comfortably familiar. It’s a truly unique blend of the Bohemian, the idealist, the nerd, and the adventurer. It’s the sound of a complex sophisticated nature boy with just enough dogma to keep him tense and just enough liberation to keep him potent.
Bassist Erik “Eski” Scott has played with alt-rockers Sonia Dada and shock rocker Alice Cooper. But don’t let that scare you away from his album, Other Planets, a beautiful instrumental recording with sensuous electric bass leads that shows what a bass can sound like when a great melodicist leads the way….haunting moods and heartbreaking melodies.” John Diliberto, Producer, Echoes.org.

A target drone is an old aircraft towed through the air by a newer aircraft. The drone is used for target practice by other pilots flying armed aircraft.
A target can also be defined a goal, or a destination. A drone is just that. A drone.
Electric baritone guitar, cello, cheesy digital piano, e-bow, etc
Todd Clouser, a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, is an accomplished guitarist, composer, producer, and writer with credits on over a dozen national releases and a number of albums as bandleader, highlighted by the organic compositions of 2006’s “Baja”, 2008’s modern groove record “Beatnik Highway”, and his newest collective, Todd Clouser’s A Love Electric, an aggressive, intuitive mash of 70’s rock, Curtis Mayfield groove, and modern jazz. Clouser’s production and playing span a number of genres, most recently settling in the modern jazz idiom after years of fronting rock acts.
Hailing from Iceland FaMR comprises of four 20-year-olds from Reykjavík, Iceland. Their music is best described as energetic, melodious post-rock, though being the natural creative visionaries they are, the band expand and even subvert their style with almost every song.
What is the new music thing for this decade? Many people inculding myself would right away think of the electronic music. The party scene being huge in Berlin (where I work), this is the cutting edge that allows you to touch and interest young hip people on a broad scale.
But unfortunately, I keep on being disappointed by the crutial lack of creativity in a field that leaves so much space for new things. Basically the standards imposed by major Dj’s and Labels tend to become more and more established and everybody seems to go by this unwritten book.
The next thing is about breaking out the scene and let new blood in. Mixing the live music in electro IS the next thing. The challenge is now for musicians and producers to be able to work together in a similar direction. Some bands are aware of that and propose a new approach to music, half way between a concert and a dj set. The song I put up along with this post is representational of this idea.
Springtime is a classical waltz composition for full orchestra. The theme imparts a happy uplifting mood.
I used a fair interplay between the strings and woodwind section, and between major and minor key sections to give it a rich and pleasant listening experience.
Hope you enjoy it!
