Introducing The Takeover, the music festival the Corona Virus can’t stop. Incredible artists takeover the Right Chord Music Facebook page to play a special live show, while the world watches from their couch or sofa. (May 8,9,10th)
The First Online Only Music Festival
Back in 2013 we ran what we believe was the world’s first online only music festival via Google Hangouts and it caused a stir. We attracted 3,000 viewers from across the world and even caught the attention of the BBC and Google who described it as the best demonstration of Google+ they had seen.
The RCM Takeover Festival
Fast forward to 2017 and over 13,000 people tuned in when we bought the concept to Facebook for the RCM Takeover Festival. We invited 27 different artists from 4 different countries to takeover our Facebook wall and play live from their living rooms to the world via Facebook Live Stream.
Summer 2020 ‘The Takeover’ 2020 May 8th, 9th & 10th
With gigs, tours and music festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella and SXSW being cancelled, we wanted to create an alternative way to enjoy live music this summer. A music festival the Corona Virus can’t stop.
How It Works
All performers will be given Admin rights to the Right Chord Music Facebook wall and will be invited to post live to our wall at an agreed time. Each performance will be supported across Right Chord Music channels including our blog, Lost On Radio Podcast, social pages and across partner sites including. Major Labl, Squall and LiveMusicSession.TV

Submissions to The Takeover Are Open Now
If you are an artist interested in taking part in Couch-ella submissions are now open. If you would like to be considered for our online festival, please register your details via our contact page and we’ll be in touch.
Because of Live Stream technology we will naturally favour acoustic, or lo-fi acts, but we have featured fullelectric sets and DJ sets, so anything is possible with a good sound engineer.
