ICONventional aims to give rising artists a chance to be noticed while making it easier for listeners to discover new music. Our online service relies on user participation, both through submissions of great music and support for the artists.
Every week we feature an album in which five artists contribute two tracks each. The album will be sold as a ‘pay what you want’ digital download with a minimum purchase price of $1. At the end of each sale, the majority of the proceeds are divided among the five artists. As thousands of albums are sold, imagine the impact this would have on rising artists. In addition to monetary support, we hope that many listeners choose to follow their favorite artists on various social networks.
ICONventional’s first album is scheduled to be released on August 4th, 2013. In the meantime, artists and fans are highly encouraged to submit content by email or through our website’s contact form.
