iDreamTM Studios and The Day Studio Music Rose Again

Since writing “The Happy Decline of the Music Industry” this summer, iDreamTM Studios, Inc, has been pleased to find many other music industry visionaries spreading the good word.

BJ Jansen writes in The New Artist Development Model: Growing your Brand from the Ground Up that there “is a [music industry] road map that begins in extreme complexity and ends in strong monetization like any other successful business.”

Jansen also argues in The Future Record Label Model = Brand Marketing Collective “that the new successful [music industry] models will revolve around collective brand marketing.”

Annie Reuter adds in Personal Connection with Fans Leads New Music Seminar Discussion that “an artist only needs to acquire 1,000 fans to make a living. And that if 1,000 fans contribute to buying $100 worth of merchandise, concert tickets, music, etc. throughout the year, this becomes the equivalent to earning [gross earnings before costs] $100,000, a comfortable salary most can live on.”

iDreamTM Studios, Inc agrees wholeheartedly with these principles, but goes a BIG GIANT STEP further by integrating each of these principles and more under one roof…50 15,000 square foot roofs to be exact.

Radical transformation is behind everything iDreamTM  thinks, does and says because at its core is evolution:  evolution of the creative process; evolution of messaging; evolution of community; evolution of education.

iDreamTM incorporates ALL of the new artist development radical transformation principles and recording process models.  More than a studio, iDreamTM is a digital marketplace and patron network, state of the art affordable creation space which is open 24 x 7, and a music education and exploration center, all housed within each futuristic USA location.

iDreamTM is a “music career development facility”, where any artists can grow from amateur to professional. iDreamTM prepares all musicians for long term careers in music. Beginning artists can take how-to classes to learn song writing, production techniques, band-brand development, and more. Afterwards, professional recording sessions, “MTV-unplugged” style listening parties, digital marketplace, and fan-network interaction creates a path to monetization. iDreamTM prepares all musicians for long term careers in music. In addition, iDreamTM includes “360° Plug-n-Play” in which top artists, based on artist sales and fan base, who are in need of management services, will be selected for concert tours, merchandising, sponsorship and more.

At iDream’sTM core is an unwavering faith in the limitless creative power of all human beings. If you can dream it, you can do it!  iDreamTM believes that big dreams result in big creations and these big creations are the driving forces that evolve our culture and shape the world in which we live.  Therefore, it is iDream’sTM mission to provide the most innovative tools for the creation of digital content, as well as solutions to share digital content so that iDreamTM can help its artists evolve and change the world.

iDream’sTM culture is unique to any professional recording studio in the world.  This is good news, when considering the bad news of studios closing. Take Abbey Road, for example, where the Beatles recorded many of their albums. It has closed and will be reduced to a tourist attraction. A closed studio can not, in any way, revive a struggling industry. But 50 iDreamTM locations will!

Eric Felten of the WSJ writes in Abbey Road and the Day Studio Music Died, “The demise of great recording studios is contributing to the bland, characterless sound of so much popular music today. Particular studios have been crucial in defining the sounds of whole eras.”

iDreamTM is the studio(s) that defines the future.  And THIS is the day that studio music rises again.

In a recent interview, Matt Rollings, a top piano player in country music, says home studios are good for roughing out projects but can never compete with a space with real acoustic properties. “A great room acts like an instrument,” Mr. Rollings says. “It has a voice.”

Home studios are no more than computers, digital programs and cheap mics, crammed into small, acoustically “dead” rooms. Recording in home studios, according to Eric Felten of WSJ, is like “trying to capture the taste of pit-smoked barbecue by splashing liquid smoke around.” Ugh!

DJ Parker, Chairman and Chief Visionary Officer of iDreamTM Studios Inc., agrees. “When you buy music from an independent artist, what stands out the most is how the music sounds. You know right away it wasn’t recorded in a real studio. The flaws are obvious. But many independent artists can’t afford the cost of professional studios. iDreamTM will provide professional studios at affordable prices. iDreamTM will shine light on the path artists are looking for and the steps to monetization will be turn-key”.

Jansen details 5 critical steps in his New Artist Development Model article.   These steps are actually provided to artists within iDream’sTM operating model:

Step 1: Cultivate Initial Direct-To-Fan Relationships and Social Media Attention
iDreamTM will have a “Facebook” styled social network and blog for fan/band interaction

Step 2: Successfully Crowdfund a Project
iDreamTM will have a digital marketplace for content monetization; Creating project funds

Step 3: Regularly Draw 200+ At Live Performances Inside & Outside of Your Home Market
iDreamTM will have an amphitheater in each location for “MTV-unplugged” style live
shows

Step 4: Co-Brand with Mid-Level Corporate Tour Sponsorship

iDreamTM will have “360° Plug-n-Play” for national concert tours

Step 5: Major Co-Branding & Venture Capital Investment and Collective Brand Marketing

iDreamTM will have “360° Plug-n-Play” for sponsorships, commercials, Co-Ops, etc

Every artist has a different goal:

Those who already run their own labels/brands will likely use iDream’sTM Studios, Interactive Website, and Amphitheater only. These individuals are “entrepreneur” minded.

Those who don’t know how to run a label or don’t have the resources/team or just want to stay focused on being an artist will use the Studios, Interactive Website, Amphitheater, and the “360° Plug-n-Play” management services.

iDream’sTM Chief Visionary DJ Parker explains, “All artists have different goals. But at the end of that goal is some level of success, with a financial “kicker” (money earned). Some want millions and some want control. Some wanna run their own labels, and some want a traditional label deal. Some just want to be heard by enough fans so they can pay the bills, and some want world wide fame.  iDreamTM is set up to facilitate all of these goals.”

With Mi2N reporting that “less than 5 % of independent artists are making a living,” it is time for artists to get to know iDreamTM.  Stay tuned to the links below for upcoming information and contests on winning FREE studio recording hours (Golden Tix), details on artist sponsorships for “360° Plug-n-Play”, Ground Breaking Ceremonies, and Open Houses where you will be welcomed with “Dream Tinis” and “Sweet Dreams.”
