Introducing MDNA, Your Musical Blueprint To Life

mDNA is set to revolutionise the way we connect, communicate, share, like, comment and explore music from other mDNA strands and music we love.

mDNA is an exciting project that has been in the works for the past 10 months. Through a web and smart phone application, mDNA will allow music fans to boost the exposure of independent and emerging artists and show in real-time the top trending tracks governed by the people.

Nick Arnold, founder of independent music platform Holding Pattern, is launching a worldwide campaign via Indiegogo, a crowdfunding site, to raise funds to get mDNA up and running. The concept has been praised by the industry and already has the support of musicians such as Wes Carr, Aya Larkin, Chris Joannou,Rob Mills; and celebrities Brendan Cowell, Alex Dimitriades, Gyton Grantley, Damon Gameau, Toby Schmitz, Tyler Atkins and Matt Le Nevez.

Arnold, also a professional musician and composer, is thrilled by the prospect of giving musical control to the fans and personalising their experience, “This is where the communication begins,” Arnold states.

mDNA will record every track used in every strand - When a track is used multiple times it begins to activate and change colour, allowing users to connect and communicate from similar tastes in music. Think Instagram, but for music lovers; allowing them to share and communicate, explore, discover new music, like, follow, or even wrap their mDNA strands as a gift for that special someone.

To build the technology, the goal is to raise $60,000, which can be achieved by donations made through the Indiegogo campaign. Every generous person who donates will be given a personalised gift.

Arnold finishes, “With your help, mDNA will allow users to connect with each other and allow music to become our currency to communicate. Identify yourself through the music you love with one simple application. mDNA.”
