How to Get Best Quality Voice Over Recording?

When creating a voice over recording the end result or the final product that we get is the voice itself and nothing else to hide flaws. At certain times, voice overs are being accompanied by the background music just as in the podcast intros as well as outros or while narrating short videos. But for the majority of the parts, a voice over recording just means the voice. As a result, in this case it could be said that the better the sound quality, the more professional and clear the end-result will be.

There are people who are not able to afford expensive gears and instruments for the voice over recordings. So, in order to get a good quality voice over without having expensive gears and instruments, here are presented some of the important tips by voice over Dubai at Soundsnack to get the best quality voice over recording. Let us have a look over that:

Tip #1: Recording must be done in a quiet room:

It is not possible to have a completely noise-free PC recording studio environment but it is advisable to have least noisiness around the room. It is recommended the lower the noisiness the better sound recording will be done. Make sure that the recording is done in the least noisy surroundings and also you need to take some of the noise prevention steps too to deliver the best recordings

Tip #2: Get close to the Mic:

Ensure that the distance between your mouth and mic is 4-12 inches. Practice well with this distance just in order to ensure that the voice is recorded as loud as possible without making any unpleasant sound or overloading the mic. As you must be using the PC recording studio, it must be fairly easy to see if the voice has been recorded too loud or just opposite to that. One should practice well with this distance from the mic until you are satisfied with this.

Tip #3: Squish the audio with a compressor:

The audio compression is something else that must be used with deep caution. It is just easy to ruin the audio with too much of it. By using properly this editing tool, one would result with the even audio volume in such a way that the listener could hear the quieter as well as softer parts and the loud as well as exciting parts without being constantly turning the volume knob up and down. A compressor would reduce the volume of just the parts having a certain loudness level while leaving the quieter audio alone.

Tip #4: Reduce the noise till greater extent:

After the recording is being finally done, most of the recording software usually comes with the basic sound editing tools through which one can make it more clear and audible. Different sound editing tools like the noise reduction and noise gates could greatly help in have a noise-free recording. These tools and more such type of tools greatly help in shutting out all the unwanted noise and would help in getting more clear recordings.

Tip #5: Normalize:

One of the final things that one could apply to their audio is applying one more audio tool known as normalization. This means increasing the audio volume right up to the point before the loudest bit would distort. For an instance, if there was a yelling bit in the voice over, that part would be shown up as the “tallest” bit of wave form in the similar swim lane. Thus, as a result normalizing finds out the loudest bit and just turns everything up until just before the tallest part touches the side.   Thus, these were some of the most important tips that are needed to be considered for getting the best voice over recordings.
